Macadamia ternifolia Also sometimes called Queensland nut oil as it is native to Australia. Pale yellow oil with virtually no odour and a very long shelf life. USP/Cosmetic Grade. Dark gold cold pressed grades are also commercially available, but they can have a noticeable odour. Excellent moisturizing properties and a good source of palmitoleic acid, which is rarely found in nuts and seeds. Quickly absorbed into the skin. Functions as a skin conditioning agent. Used in a wide variety of cosmetic products including cleansers, night creams, powders, moisturizers, foundations, masks, eye shadows, lipsticks, fragrance preparations, hair conditioners, suntan products, soap and more.
