Used to impart opacity, as an astringent, antiseptic and skin protective. Added to soothing creams and ointments. Used in sun care formulations. Our zinc oxide is "non-nano". It has about a 0.24 micron particle size which would be considered "fine" (particles with an average diameter of less than 2.5 microns - rather than ultrafine or nano which is less than 0.1 micron particle size). Trade name ZOCO 112 USP EP grade from Zochem. Meets USP and FCC specifications.
