Brown/red powdered pigment used to color cosmetics and soap. Very pH and light stable. While some brown iron oxides on the market are a blend of yellow, red and black, ours is a browner shade of red iron oxide (medium blue). Excellent lightfastness. Used in liquid foundation, pressed powder, eye make-up, lipstick, nail lacquer, lotion and more. Use of this color is limited to ingested or topically applied drugs and cosmetics. Also called Ferric Oxide or Red Iron Oxide. Chemical formula Fe2O3. CI 77491 CAS 1309-37-1
