Theobroma cacao - Raw Natural A dark brown, firm butter from cocoa beans. This is the rawest form of cocoa butter, before it is fractionated into regular cocoa butter and cocoa liquor. Has the appearance of dark chocolate. Rich and decadent. Contains cocoa mass polyphenol (CMP) and elements normally removed in further processing. This grade of cocoa butter is desirable for exotic formulations. Is also used for healing purposes. Can be used for it's natural colour in creams, lotions and other body care products. As little as 3% in a lotion formula will make it the colour of a chocolate milkshake. The raw cocoa butter is excellent when combined with our wild crafted cocoa butter in a formulation, providing the rich colour of the raw with the mouth watering natural aroma of the wild crafted. Cocoa butters are used in many foods, most notably chocolate, cosmetics and soaps. A primary ingredient in lotion/massage bars, lip balms, lip butters and body butters.
